Welcome to LukaSurfShack, a surf school in Ostend that aims to teach you how to surf!

My name is Luka Rossel-Cambier, a competition surfer and surf coach born in Ostend but raised in Barbados. I began surfing when I was 4 years old and have been surfing my entire life. I have worked in many different surf schools since I was only 14 years old. I taught people from all ages ranging from 6 years old to 65 years of age. I have competed in many national competitions and surfed in many different countries across the globe. My mission is to teach you how to surf.

Safety & More

We are a surf school that prioritizes the safety and security of our customers. The school mostly operate during the summer months as it can be too cold during the winter period. We aim to make our lessons as fun and educational as possible. The Surf Shack is run by professional surf coaches that have been trained on basic water safety as well as coach courses from the International Surfing Association (ISA). Our beginner surfboards are specifically made for beginners with a soft foam top and blunt fins. Our coaches personally help 2-4 students per time to ensure further safety.
